Does express delivery have an anti-tampering function?

Jul 15, 2024

Many express packaging bags and parcels do have anti-tampering functions. These functions are mainly to ensure that the parcel is not opened or tampered with by unauthorized persons during transportation, and to ensure the safety of the items in the parcel. The following are some common anti-tampering designs and functions:

1. Anti-tampering seals
Disposable seals: Many express bags use disposable seals. Once the seal is opened, it cannot be closed again, or it will leave obvious marks. This design can effectively prevent the package from being tampered with.
Anti-tampering labels: Some packages will be affixed with anti-tampering labels. Once these labels are torn off, they will display "VOID" or other warning words and cannot be re-attached, which clearly shows that the package has been opened.
2. Special adhesives
Strong adhesives: Strong adhesives are usually used on the seals of express bags to ensure that the seals will not be accidentally opened during transportation. Any attempt to open the seal will leave obvious marks to prevent unauthorized opening.
Anti-tampering tape: Once this tape is pasted, it is difficult to tear it off without leaving any marks. Any attempt to tear it off will damage the tape and leave obvious marks.
3. Special materials
Tear-resistant materials: Many express bags use tear-resistant materials to increase the strength and durability of the bags and prevent the packages from being torn or damaged during transportation.
Metal foil layer: Some high-value items use materials with metal foil layers to increase tear and anti-theft capabilities, and can also shield electromagnetic signals and protect electronic products.
4. Security printing
Anti-counterfeiting logo: Anti-counterfeiting logos or QR codes are printed on packaging bags or labels. The authenticity of the package can be verified by scanning to ensure that the package has not been swapped or tampered with.
Color-changing ink: The printed patterns on some express bags use color-changing ink, which changes color when subjected to external force or chemicals, indicating that the package has been opened or tampered with.
5. Digital anti-tampering technology
RFID tags: Some packages of high-value or sensitive items use RFID tags, which are tracked and monitored through wireless radio frequency identification technology to ensure the safety of the package during transportation.
GPS tracker: Some high-end express services place GPS trackers in packages to monitor the location and status of packages in real time to prevent theft or loss of packages.
These anti-tampering features and designs provide multi-level security for express parcels, ensuring that parcels are not opened or tampered with by unauthorized personnel during transportation, thereby improving customer trust and satisfaction.
