How should a used parcel pouch be disposed of?

Sep 05, 2025

The disposal of a used parcel pouch can be considered from both an environmental and practical perspective:
1. Sorting
Recyclable materials: Plastic courier bags, such as PE, LDPE, and PP, should be cleaned after use (remove tape, labels, and stains) and placed in a recyclable bin and into the recycled plastics recycling system.

Courier bags made of composite materials or with bubble wrap cannot be directly recycled in some areas and should be sent to designated plastics recycling points to avoid mixing with general waste.

2. Secondary Use
Reuse as a storage bag: Use it to store documents, clothing, and small items, protecting them from dust and moisture.
Use as a garbage bag: Tough courier bags can be used directly as regular garbage bags.
Re-shipping: If the bag is intact, you can attach a new courier label and reuse it, reducing disposable waste.

3. Environmentally Friendly Disposal

Degradable/Compostable Bags: These bags can be disposed of in food waste or a biodegradable waste disposal system after use, where they will naturally decompose under suitable conditions. Traditional plastic bags: Do not incinerate or discard them carelessly. Recycle them whenever possible to avoid causing environmental pollution.

4. Precautions
Remove the personal information label: The label on courier bags contains private information and should be removed or covered before handling to prevent leakage.
Avoid discarding: If recycling is not possible, properly package the bag and dispose of it in the trash. Avoid littering to prevent environmental pollution.
