Jun 24, 2024

1. Material properties
Roll heat shrink film:
Material: POF (Polyolefin)
Transparency: High transparency, can clearly show the product in the package
Shrinkage characteristics: It will shrink evenly when heated and stick to the surface of the product
Thickness: Usually thin, suitable for light and medium weight product packaging

Stretch wrap film:
Material: LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene)
Transparency: Transparent or translucent
Stretching characteristics: It has good stretchability and elasticity, can be stretched multiple times, and is used to wrap and fix products
Thickness: Usually thick, suitable for bundling and fixing heavy and large products

2. Usage
Rolled heat shrink film:
Usage: Heating equipment is required, such as a heat shrink machine, which shrinks the film and fits the product tightly by heating
Packaging effect: Closely fits the product surface, providing good protection and display effects
Main uses: Packaging of food, medicine, cosmetics, and small items

Stretch wrap film:
Usage: Stretch the film and wrap it around the product or pallet manually or automatically without heating
Packaging effect: Mainly used to bundle and fix products to prevent them from moving during transportation and storage
Main uses: Bundling and fixing of industrial products, large items, and pallet cargo

3. Application scenarios
Rolled heat shrink film:
Food packaging: such as candy, biscuits, bread, etc.
Medical packaging: medicines, medical devices
Cosmetic packaging: skin care products, cosmetics
Other small items: such as toys, stationery, and crafts

Stretch wrap film:
Industrial packaging: such as machinery and equipment, building materials
Logistics packaging: fixation and bundling of pallet cargo
Large items: furniture, electrical appliances, etc.

Rolled heat shrink film and stretch film have significant differences in materials, usage methods, application scenarios, and functions. The former is mainly used for packaging small items, focusing on aesthetics and display effects, while the latter is used for bundling and fixing large and heavy items, focusing on convenient operation and fixing effects. The choice of film depends on the specific packaging needs and application scenarios.
