Quality Inspection Of Packaging Bags

May 22, 2024

Quality testing of packaging bags is crucial to ensure their safety, durability and suitability.
Visual inspection
1. Visual inspection: Check the overall appearance of the packaging bag, including color consistency, surface smoothness, printing quality, etc. Observe for obvious flaws such as holes, cracks, deformations, etc.
2. Dimensional measurement: Use measuring tools to check whether the length, width and thickness of the packaging bag meet the specifications.
Physical performance testing
1. Tensile strength test: Use a tensile testing machine to test the strength and ductility of the packaging bag under the action of tensile force. This test evaluates the bag's durability and ability to resist tearing.
2. Tear strength test: The tear test is used to measure the tear strength of the packaging bag in the vertical and horizontal directions to ensure that it is not easy to tear during use.
3. Impact strength test: Use a pendulum impact tester to test the impact resistance of the packaging bag when it is impacted, and evaluate its durability during transportation and storage.
4. Pressure resistance test: Apply a certain amount of pressure to the packaging bag to test its ability to withstand pressure, especially for packaging bags that need to withstand heavy objects.
Chemical performance testing
1. Material composition analysis: Use chemical analysis methods to detect the material composition of packaging bags to ensure that they meet the safety standards for food contact materials, such as non-toxic, harmless, and no odor, etc.
2. Solvent residual test: Test the amount of solvent residue in the packaging bag to ensure that the solvent used in the production process has completely evaporated and will not cause contamination to the product.
Environmental suitability test
1. Temperature resistance performance test: Place the packaging bag in high and low temperature environments to test its performance at different temperatures to ensure its applicability under different environmental conditions.
2. Moisture resistance performance test: Test the performance of the packaging bag in a high humidity environment to ensure that it is not easily deformed, moldy or ruptured in a humid environment.
Special function testing
1. Air tightness test: For packaging bags that require sealing performance (such as food packaging bags), conduct an air tightness test to ensure that they can effectively prevent the entry of air, moisture and other pollutants.
2. Barrier performance test: Test the barrier ability of packaging bags against oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and other gases, especially for food packaging bags that need to be kept fresh.
Use performance testing
1. Durability test: Test the packaging bag by simulating the actual use process, such as repeated opening and closing, handling, etc., to evaluate its durability.
2. Compatibility test: Test the compatibility of the packaging bag with the packaged product to ensure that it will not have a negative impact on the product.
Regulatory and Standards Compliance
1. Safety standards: Ensure that the packaging bags comply with relevant national and international safety standards, such as FDA, EU regulations, etc.
2. Environmental protection requirements: Test the environmental protection performance of packaging bags, such as whether they are degradable, recyclable, etc., and meet the requirements of environmental protection regulations.
The above series of tests can comprehensively evaluate the quality of packaging bags and ensure their safety and reliability during production, transportation, storage and use. These tests are crucial to producing high-quality packaging bags and providing consumers with a better experience.
