What Types Of Vacuum Bags Are There?

Aug 19, 2024

According to different uses and designs, vacuum bags can be mainly divided into the following types, each type differs in function, material and application:

1. Food vacuum bag

Features: Designed for food preservation, with high temperature resistance, tear resistance and wear resistance.

Material: Usually a multi-layer structure, such as nylon and polyethylene (PA/PE) composite material, is used to provide good sealing and durability.

Application: Used to extend the shelf life of food, suitable for frozen food, dry goods, etc.

2. Vacuum storage bag

Features: Designed to compress the volume to save storage space. The air in the bag is extracted by manual or electric suction device.

Material: Usually polyester (PET) or polyethylene (PE) material, may have a special sealing valve.

Application: Used to compress items such as clothing and bedding, suitable for travel, moving and seasonal storage.

3. Industrial vacuum bag

Features: High temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, tear resistance. The design focuses on protecting the safety and integrity of the product.

Material: Use high-strength plastic or composite materials, which may include nylon, polyester, polyethylene, etc.

Application: used to package mechanical parts, electronic equipment, chemicals and other industrial products.

4. Medical vacuum bags
Features: meet medical standards, have high sterility and sealing, ensure the hygiene and safety of products.
Material: usually high-quality polyethylene or polyester materials, sometimes with sterilization treatment.
Application: used to package medical devices, medicines, etc., which need to ensure sterility and safety.
5. Vacuum compression bags
Features: reduce the volume of items through vacuum extraction, usually equipped with special extraction equipment.
Material: mostly high-strength plastics, which may include polyethylene (PE) or polyester (PET) materials.
Application: suitable for the storage of large items, such as clothing, bedding, etc., to help save space.
6. Vacuum packaging bags
Features: used to package food or other products, using vacuum technology to achieve sealing to prevent oxidation and moisture.
Material: Commonly used materials include nylon, polyethylene, etc., and some high-end packaging bags may use aluminum foil layers.
Application: suitable for long-term storage of food and medicines, and also used for moisture-proof and anti-oxidation industrial product packaging.
7. Foam vacuum bag
Features: Contains a foam layer inside to increase impact resistance and protection.
Material: Foam and plastic composite material, such as polyethylene foam and polyester (PET) layer.
Application: Used to package fragile items, such as electronic products, glass products, etc., to provide additional protection.
8. Aluminum foil vacuum bag
Features: Contains an aluminum foil layer with excellent barrier properties, which can effectively block light, oxygen and moisture.
Material: Aluminum foil layer and plastic material composite, such as aluminum foil and polyethylene (PE) or polyester (PET).
Application: Used for packaging of high-end food and medicine, as well as industrial products with high requirements for moisture and oxidation resistance.
These different types of vacuum bags differ in materials, design and application. Choosing the right type of vacuum bag can be determined based on specific needs.
